Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior AWS Cloud Engineer to support our cloud infrastructure and backend services development. You will help build and manage AWS resources using AWS CDK (TypeScript) and contribute to Python-based backend services, collaborating closely with DevOps, backend,and data teams. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of AWS who’s eager to grow in both cloud and software engineering.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Infrastructure (CDK in TypeScript)
- Assist in defining and deploying cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK
- Manage core AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, VPC, ECS, etc.
- Write reusable CDK constructs and modules
- Support monitoring, alerting, and logging (e.g., CloudWatch, X-Ray)
Backend Support(Python)
- Collaborate with backend developers to deploy Python-based Lambda functions or containerized services
- Understand and troubleshoot Python application environments in the cloud
- Contribute to testing and CI/CD pipelines for Python-based services
DevOps & Cloud Operations
- Assist in maintaining secure, reliable, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure
- Troubleshoot deployment and runtime issues across development and staging environments
- Document infrastructure, service behavior, and deployment processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience on AWS.
- Foundational knowledge of AWS services (IAM, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Basic experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience writing Python applications or scripts
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows
- Strong willingness to learn new tools and AWS best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
