SMPnet is a UK-based energy technology company building software platforms 
for electricity network operators, utilities, and grid owners. Its products 
support real-time monitoring, optimisation, and control of complex power 
networks.


## About


SMPnet provides power grid management software built on advanced technical 
expertise in power systems, optimisation, and real-time control. Its Omega 
suite integrates with existing network infrastructure and is designed to 
increase network capacity, reduce costs, and support the integration of 
renewable energy assets.


SMPnet holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 accreditation for Information Security 
Management Systems.

To catalyse the global energy transition and grid digitalisation by 
deploying advanced software technology. SMPnet provides utilities with tools 
to transform power grid operations through analytics, optimisation, and 
real-time control.

To be the trusted partner to utilities as power grid management advances 
towards grid digitalisation and net zero targets.


### Founders


SMPnet was co-founded by Anastasios and Dimitrios, who met studying Wind 
Energy Systems at the University of Strathclyde. Anastasios specialises in 
renewable energy integration and microgrid systems. Dimitrios holds a PhD 
focused on High Voltage Multi-Terminal Direct Current grids. Together they 
developed Omega to give utilities the tools to manage the energy transition 
and grid digitalisation.
